MAGISTRADO
The Police Regional Office-13 will deploy more than 1,000 policemen for this year’s “Undas” in the Caraga region.
They will be deployed mainly in cemeteries, air and sea ports, terminals, memorial parks, and main thoroughfares to perform public safety services before, during, and even after the observance of Undas, said Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer, chief, Regional Public Information Office.
Ometer said security preparations were laid out early to deter criminals and lawless elements from exploiting the occasion.
“Mas maigi na ‘yung handa tayo parati,” she said.
(It is better that we are always ready)
PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Marcial Mariano P. Magistrado IV directed all regional, city, and provincial mobile force commanders as well as city and provincial directors and municipal chiefs of police to step up their security preparations for Undas.
“The deployment of police personnel is to ensure the peaceful and orderly observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day in the Caraga region,” Magistrado said.
Coordination with other law enforcement, government security forces, force multipliers, and emergency response teams was also beefed up to thwart any unlawful activities during the observance.
“We are ready for this year’s observance of Undas,” Ometer said.
