Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso welcomed Ilocos Norte Vice Governor Matthew Joseph Manotoc during a courtesy visit at the Manila City Hall.
The city government stated that the meeting symbolizes the continued friendship and cooperation between the City of Manila and the Province of Ilocos Norte.
As a gesture of appreciation and recognition, the Ilocos Norte delegation was invited to feature their renowned local products in a week-long Ilocos Norte Product Showcase, to be held from November 17 to 23 at Kartilya ng Katipunan, right across from the Manila City Hall.
This initiative aims to highlight the unique crafts, food, and products of Ilocos Norte, while strengthening partnerships in tourism and trade between the two local governments.
“This is a step towards deeper unity among regions in the country. By bringing their products here to Manila, we get to appreciate the excellence and craftsmanship of the Ilocano people,” said Domagoso.
Manila also warmly received delegates from the Mindanao Fruits and Food Festival, who brought a variety of high-quality produce and goods to the city.
Through these continued efforts, the City of Manila reaffirms its commitment to inclusive development and inter-regional cooperation, moving toward a more prosperous, vibrant, and united Philippines.
