Drunk farmer stabs dog in Quezon

MACALELON, Quezon – A drunk farmer stabbed a pet dog with a broken bottle in Sitio Parada, Barangay Vista Hermosa, this town, on Saturday night, Oct. 11.
Police identified the suspect as Mark.
Investigation said the suspect became irritated when the dog, Tanggol, owned by Raden, 58, incessantly barked at him.
Mark picked up and broke a bottle of beer and stabbed the dog four times in the stomach.
The suspect escaped and the subject of a manhunt.
He faces a case for violating Republic Act No. 8485, as amended by Republic Act No. 10631, otherwise known as the Animal Welfare Act of 1998.
The dog was treated and recovering.
