CAVITE – Authorities arrested two suspects and seized guns in separate operations against illegal firearms.
In Mendez, personnel of the Mendez Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested a suspect identified as alias Tolitz during a search warrant operation evening on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
Confiscated from his possession were an improvised shotgun rifle and ammunition.
In Rosario, meanwhile, Rosario MPS operatives served a search warrant against alias Dards on Thursday, Oct. 16.
The suspect yielded a .38-caliber revolver and ammunition.
Both suspects face charges for violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
In a statement, Cavite Police Provincial Office Acting Director Col. Ariel R. Red commended the two successful operations, emphasizing the provincial police’s firm stance against the proliferation of illegal firearms.
