Dump truck driver falls asleep at the wheel, rams concrete barriers in Pasig City
A dump truck loaded with sand rammed into concrete barriers after its driver allegedly fell asleep while driving along Marcos Highway near the Santolan station of the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) in Pasig City on Wednesday morning, Oct. 15.

Based on initial reports, the driver said he and his wife were traveling from Pampanga to Tanay, Rizal, when he dozed off while driving, causing the accident at around 7:40 a.m.
No one was reported injured in the incident.
Personnel of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) immediately responded to clear the affected area.
Around eight concrete barriers were damaged.
The MMDA personnel also managed the flow of traffic and helped remove the truck from the area.
