It took Bicol Saro Party-list Rep. Terry Ridon just one Facebook post and a few dozen words to savagely dismantle so-called political analysts on social media who actually aren't worth their salt.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, Oct. 14, Ridon called out similarities in the content being shared--and presumably being monetized--by these political pundit-posers.
"Ang daming sumulpot na social media political pundits at pages na parang halos pareho yung writing style ano (There are so many social media political pundits and pages emerging that have similar writing styles)," wrote the House Infrastructure Committee overall chairman.
Ridon broke down their gimmick real quick and deduced that they were all heavily reliant on artificial intelligence (AI).
"1. May thematic outline, 2. Tadtad ng em dash, 3. May domain expertise sa pulitika at ekonomiya ng Pilipinas (1. They have thematic outline, 2. Their posts are riddled with em dash, 3. They have domain expertise on politics and Philippine economy)," noted the lawyer-legislator.
"4. Magaling mag-Chat GPT (4. They're good at Chat GPT)," added Ridon, who saved the most important common denominator for last.
Whether or not such AI-generated "opinions" or commentary on Philippine politics has any value at all is left for the readers to decide.
