Navotas LGU, PCCI to launch city's first business conference to boost local enterprise

The Navotas City government and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry–Navotas (PCCI-Navotas) have joined forces to launch the city’s first-ever Navotas Business Conference, marking a milestone in the city’s effort to empower local entrepreneurs and attract new investments.

The conference will be held on Oct. 28 and Oct 29 at the Navotas Convention Center. 
The event aims to bring together business leaders, innovators, and industry stakeholders in Metro Manila to strengthen collaboration and open new growth opportunities in fisheries, manufacturing, logistics, and tourism.
Mayor John Rey Tiangco said the conference demonstrates the city’s growing partnership with the private sector.
“Habang tuloy-tuloy ang development at pagdating ng bagong investments, gusto nating tiyakin na kasama at handa ang mga local businesses sa pag-angat ng lungsod (As development continues and new investments come in, we want to ensure that our local businesses are included and prepared to rise with the city),” he said.
“This conference is a platform for Navoteño entrepreneurs to connect, learn, and grow,” Tiangco added.
The Public Information Office said that with the theme “Navotas Rising: Empowering Industries from Sea to City,” the initiative reflects the city’s transformation from a traditional fishing community into a modern business hub that embraces sustainability and technology.
PCCI-Navotas president Paul Santos said the partnership with the local government aligns with a shared goal to position Navotas as a competitive city for business.
“In just a short time, we’ve grown to 150 active members, a clear reflection of how energized and forward-looking the Navotas business community has become,” he said. 
“Navotas isn’t just where we do business — it’s home,” Santos added.
He also emphasized the value of partnership with the local government. 
“We are equipped with strong local resources, agile systems, dynamic business partners, and most importantly, the support of a responsive local government. Navotas is in its prime, and we’re ready to make waves,” he added.
The two-day event will feature plenary talks, exhibits, and networking sessions on innovation, governance, and entrepreneurship. 
Agriculture Secretary Francisco “Tiu” Laurel Jr. and inspirational speaker Bo Sanchez are among the key guests expected to headline the conference.
The local government said micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are encouraged to join the afternoon sessions and may book business booths for P1,000 per day.
