Motorcycle passenger dies, rider hurt in collision with jeepney in Pasig

A female motorcycle passenger died on the spot while the rider was injured after they collided with a jeepney in Barangay Santolan, Pasig City on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
Based on the initial investigation, the jeepney, which was plying the Marikina-Pasig route, was attempting a U-turn along Marcos Highway around 4 a.m. when the motorcycle allegedly suddenly appeared and collided with it.
Due to the impact, the victims were thrown from the motorcycle, resulting in the immediate death of the backrider, while the rider was rushed to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the jeepney driver is currently under the custody of the Pasig City Police Station. Investigation is ongoing.
