CEU sends off athletes to Sports Season in a Pep Rally

Centro Escolar University (CEU) expressed its support for its student-athletes during its recent Pep Rally at the CEU North Quadrangle.
The athletes representing CEU in Basketball, Volleyball, the Street Squad, Pep Squad, and the CEU Drum and Lyre Corps were formally introduced to the Escolarian crowd.
These teams will carry the banner of CEU in various major leagues, including the Universities and Colleges Athletic League Inc. (UCALI), Women’s Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (WMPL), Women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (WNCAA), and Men’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (MNCAA).
To highlight the values of sportsmanship and teamwork, Dylan Darbin from the Men’s Basketball Team led the Oath of Sportsmanship, while Jericho Orlina, assistant vice president for Business Affairs, administered the Oath of Office.
The program also featured fun basketball and volleyball challenges that gave students the chance to play themselves. Adding to the energy of the celebration, the CEU Pep Squad and Street Squad delivered a spirited dance performance that drew loud cheers from the Escolarian community.
Rev. Fr. Rindo Karippai Antony led a prayer to ask for God’s guidance and protection to the athletes all throughout their upcoming leagues.
CEU president and chief academic officer, Atty. Danilo L. Concepcion, delivered the opening message where he emphasized the importance of friendly competition and sportsmanship. Dr. Carlito Olaer, vice president for Student Affairs, concluded the program with his closing remarks.
The pep rally was spearheaded by Juanita P. Alamillo, assistant to the vice president for Student Affairs-Athletics under the Student Affairs Office in partnership with the University Student Council Manila.
