"Congressmeow" Cavite 4th district Rep. Francisco "Kiko" Barzaga hilariously admitted to getting lost on his way to the anti-administration rally in Forbes Park Village, Makati City on late Sunday night, Oct. 13.
It would have been less funny had it not been for the fact that it was Barzaga himself who encouraged Filipinos to attend the demonstration.
"Dasmariñas Village pala napuntahan ko otw na ko sa Forbes Park waits ka lang SILG Remulla #PeoplePower ," the gen Z congressman wrote on his Facebook at around 11 p.m. Sunday.
(Apparently I went to Dasmariñas Village... I'm on the way to Forbes Park, just wait there SILG Remulla.)
Barzaga, 27, spent several minutes outside Dasmariñas Village as he posed for selfies, gave interviews, and waved to onlookers.
He eventually reached Forbes Park and did the same activities there. He left after 30 minutes.
Lawyer Jesus Falcis--a consistent critic of Barzaga since latter's social media explosion a couple of months ago--couldn't help but troll the Cavite lawmaker over his mistake.
"Good job daw kahit: (1) late siya dumating, (2) mali yung unang pinuntahan niya because akala niya ang Dasmariñas Village entrance sa EDSA ay pareho sa Forbes Park entrance, (3) hindi niya napasok ang Forbes Park kahit yun ang goal niya dahil ang pera daw ng taumbayan ay nasa loob," Falcis wrote on Facebook Monday morning, Oct. 13.
(He said good job even though: (1) he arrived late, (2) he went to the wrong place at first because he thought the Dasmariñas Village entrance on EDSA was the same as the Forbes Park entrance, (3) he didn’t get into Forbes Park even though that was his goal—because he said the people’s money is inside.
"This is what happens when a person is a narcissist and is detached from reality – he deludes himself in believing a false reality," the lawyer added.
