Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso congratulated the Manila Police District (MPD) for emerging as the champion in the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) Challenge 2025 organized by the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The competition was participated in by five districts under the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
Domagoso shared the good news during the city's flag-raising ceremony held at the Kartilya ng Katipunan.
“Ipinapakita ng MPD, sa pangunguna ni MPD Director Brig. Gen. Arnold Abad, ang maayos na deployment, response, at action plan ng ating lungsod (The MPD, under the leadership of MPD Director Brig. Gen. Arnold Abad, demonstrates proper deployment, response, and action planning in our city),” said Domagoso.
The Manila City Government also turned over 30 units of NMAX motorcycles to the MPD on Monday. The brand-new motorcycles, donated by the Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc., are expected to enhance police mobility and operational efficiency in their anti-crime efforts.
Domagoso lauded the MPD for setting the standard in local police, noting that its performance reflects the city’s dedication to safety, discipline, and swift public service.
