Maricel Soriano tells young people: 'Parents are important. Please don't take them for granted'
Diamond Star Maricel Soriano urged the youth to cherish the unwavering and boundless love that their parents have for them.
During the media conference for the upcoming movie "Meet, Greet and Bye" under Star Cinema, Maricel emphasized the deep and steadfast bond that exists, reminding them of the countless sacrifices made and the enduring support that parents offer throughout life's journey.
Maricel said, "Minsan marami akong nakakasalubong na bagets. Minsan naka-mini skirts sila. Tapos babatiin nila ako. So lalapitan ko sila. (Sometimes I meet a lot of teenagers. Sometimes they wear mini skirts. Then they greet me. So I approached them.)"
(Then I say, 'Do your parents know where you are now? Your parents need to know where you are.)"
(Because they won't feel comfortable if they don't know where you are or what's happening to you. All they ask is that you give him something.)"
(I said, you're going to grow up too, and you're going to have children and a family. Do you want what you're doing now to be done to you, too?)"
"Kaya huwag ninyong pababayaan ang mommy at daddy ninyo. Huwag ninyo silang de-deadmahin. (So don't neglect your mommy and daddy. Please don't take them for granted. Parents are important. I hope you always tell your parents how much you love them.)"
(No parent thinks badly of their children. All parents do is give them what they want. That's what parents call unconditional love for their children)," Maricel added.
"Meet, Greet, and Bye" also stars Piolo Pascual, JK Labajo, Joshua Garcia, and Belle Mariano. The upcoming Star Cinema film brings together a stellar cast and a compelling family story of laughter, love, and togetherness guaranteed to capture audiences’ hearts. Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, the movie opens worldwide on Nov. 12.
