ILOILO CITY – Condé Nast travel magazine has named world-famous Boracay Island as one of Asia's best and top islands.
The tourism office of the Malay local government in Aklan province announced that the country’s most famous beach destination was ranked fourth in the Readers’ Choice Awards 2025 of the travel magazine’s United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) editions.
“Truly a paradise that continues to capture hearts across the globe,“ the tourism office said.
The twin recognition was based on the personal travel experiences and favorite destinations of travelers mostly from the US and the UK.
Boracay Island is one of the three beach destinations in the country that made it into the list ranked by readers of the luxury magazine. Palawan was ranked fourth while Siargao was ranked seventh.
This was the latest inclusion of Boracay in an international travel list.
Last July, it was listed as the world’s 10th best beach by the Big 7 Travel blog under the Enjoy Travel website.
Last February, the White Beach was named by Travel + Leisure magazine as one of the 15 best beaches in the world.
TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site, also included the White Beach as among the 10 best beaches in the country this year.
In the US edition, Phú Quốc in Vietnam ranked first. Also included in the Top 10 are Langkawi in Malaysia; Koh Samui, Phuket, and Phi Phi Island in Thailand; Bali in Indonesia, and Andaman Islands in India.
Bali in Indonesia topped the UK edition. Also in the Top 10 are Lombok in Indonesia; Sri Lanka; Koh Lanta, Koh Chang, Phuket, and Koh Samui in Thailand; and Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia.
