President Marcoc has declared special non-working holidays in three towns in Cotabato and Davao de Oro for their respective local festivities.
Malacañang said President Marcos declared the holidays in order to give residents the opportunity to fully participate in their respective founding anniversaries and local festivities.
Proclamation 1052 has declared Oct. 14 as a special non-working holiday in Antipas, Cotabato in celebration of its founding anniversary.
Proclamation 1053 has also designated Nov. 13 as a special non-working holiday in Pantukan, Davao de Oro, commemorating its 88th founding anniversary and celebrating the 23rd PASAKA Festival.
Meanwhile, Proclamation 1054 declared Nov. 25 as a special non-working holiday in Maragusan, Davao de Oro to give way to the commemoration of the Araw ng Maragusan.
Under Proclamation 1055, Marcos declared Oct. 15 as a special non-working day in the municipality of Jiabong in Samar for its founding anniversary celebration.
The President, under Proclamation 1056, also declared Oct. 24 as a special non-working day in the municipality of Pili, Camarines Sur for its celebration of the Cimarrones Festival.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin signed the proclamations, noting that declaring such holidays is fitting and proper to allow constituents to actively take part in and enjoy their community celebrations.
