MPD warns public against fake rally posts circulating online

The Manila Police District (MPD) is warning the public against the spread of false information online, particularly videos and posts claiming that protest rallies are scheduled in certain parts of the city.
Authorities have clarified that many of these videos are either old, edited, or completely fabricated.
The content is misleading and is being used to provoke fear or confusion among the public.
The MPD urges social media users not to rely on unverified claims and to avoid sharing misleading materials.
They are also calling on the public to help stop the spread of disinformation by reporting these posts directly on the platforms where they appear.
According to officials, any legitimate rally or public gathering must go through proper coordination with local authorities.
No such events, as described in the circulating posts, have been confirmed.
The police remind the public to remain cautious, stay informed through official government channels, and use the "Report" button on social media platforms when encountering suspicious content.
