Government anti-narcotics agents seized on Friday night, Oct. 10, around P163.2 million worth of shabu following the arrest of three drug suspects during a buy-bust operation in Candelaria, Quezon, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) stated.
PDEA Director Emerson Rosales said the suspects with aliases Jack, 42; Nor, 31; and Anor, 43 were nabbed at around 7;20 p.m. in Purok 2, Barangay Masin Norte.
“Confiscated from the suspects were one violet-colored pack containing a vacuum-sealed plastic pack of suspected shabu weighing approximately one kilogram, which served as the subject of sale and 24 additional violet-colored packs containing suspected shabu weighing around 24 kilograms,’’ Rosales noted.
Authorities also seized the buy-bust money, a black Toyota Fortuner, two analog phones, one Android phone and various identification cards.
The suspects face charges for violation of Sections 5 (Selling of Dangerous Drugs) and 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
