P162-M shabu seized in Quezon drug bust

CANDELARIA, Quezon - Authorities seized P162-million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation on Friday evening, Oct. 10, in Barangay Masin Norte, this town.
Three suspected drug pushers were arrested -- Jack, 42, a farmer from Zamboanga City; Nor, 31, a farmer from Zamboanga City; and Anor, 43, a tricycle driver from North Cotabato.
The suspects were arrested by the PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region, PDEA Regional Office 4-A, assisted by Quezon Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Candelaria Police Station, at about 7:20 p.m.
Recovered from the suspects were 25 kilos of suspected shabu contained in vacuum-sealed plastic packs valued at P162 million, marked money, a Toyota Fortuner, smartphones, and assorted identification cards.
Suspects face drug-related charges.
