Cops arrest 3 men for shooting truck driver during altercation

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Police arrested three men for allegedly shooting a truck driver during an altercation in Barangay Tabuating, San Leonardo town, Nueva Ecija province on Friday afternoon.
Police Col. Heryl Bruno, Nueva Ecija police chief, said the suspects, aged 20, 25, and 51, confronted the victim, 37, when he parked his vehicle beside the carwash.
A physical altercation erupted, during which the victim was shot by one of the suspects in the right hand.
Police arrested the suspects who are facing frustrated murder cases and detained at the San Leonardo Police Station.
A gun and bullet were recovered from the suspects.
“We urge the public to remain calm and resolve disputes peacefully to avoid legal consequences and prevent anyone from ending up behind bars," Bruno said.
