Tricycle driver arrested for attempted rape

Police arrested a 30-year-old tricycle driver who is facing a case for attempted rape in Muntinlupa on Oct. 9.

Members of the District Mobile Force Battalion and District Special Operations Unit of the Southern Police District, and the Muntinlupa police served the warrant of arrest against alias Jovan, a resident of Barangay Alabang in Muntinlupa.

The accused was listed as the No. 4 most wanted person by the Muntinlupa police.

The warrant of arrest was issued by Presiding Judge Abraham Joseph Alcantara of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 204 on Sept. 24.

The accused is under the custody of the Muntinlupa police pending the return of the warrant of arrest to the court.

“I commend our operatives for the successful arrest of one of Muntinlupa’s Most Wanted Persons. This achievement demonstrates SPD’s dedication to justice and our commitment to keeping the community safe,” said Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, acting SPD district director.
