OCD-9 orders LGUs in Zamboanga Peninsula to activate CDRRMOs following 7.4-quake

ZAMBOANGA CITY - The Office of the Civil Defense-9 has ordered all local government units in Zamboanga Peninsula on Friday, Oct. 10, to activate their CDRRMO operations centers following the strong earthquake in the Davao region.
The CDRRMO operations centers were ordered to monitor all updates from Phivolcs, NDRRMC, and the Office of the Civil Defense.
They must prepare for possible aftershocks and ensure that response teams, evacuation sites, and resources are always on standby.
They were instructed to conduct rapid monitoring and reporting of any incident damage or untoward incident within their AOR and maintain 24/7 operations in the operations center until further notice.
The OCD considered the disaster in Davao Oriental as a serious situation that requires immediate action from all LGUs concerned.
