Man beats couple to death with steel pipe in Quezon

CANDELARIA, Quezon – A couple was beaten to death with a steel pipe on Thursday morning, Oct. 9, in Sitio Tubohan, Barangay Buenavista West, this town.
Police identified the victims as Bandido,59, farmer, and Luz, 58, vendor.
Investigation said Bandido was about to open their store when the suspect Victor, 24, appeared and bludgeoned him with a steel pipe in the head.
Victor entered the house and also struck Luz multiple times in the head.
The victims died on the spot.
Police said the suspect was a resident of Padre Garcia, Batangas and temporarily living with his sibling in the area.
The suspect escaped on a tricycle and transferred to a bus in the town proper, police said.
Follow-up and manhunt operation are ongoing. The suspect faces murder cases.
