The 6-foot-2 Belgian hitter was unstoppable at the attack line, unloading 31 of the team’s 58 kills, while also firing four aces and posting three blocks in her league debut.
Not even the combined efforts of Chiara Permentilla and Spanish import Paola Martinez, who teamed up for 33 points, could outshine Rousseaux’s impressive performance that served as a confidence boost for a team seeking to eclipse their eighth-place finish in the previous edition.
It was also enough to overshadow the Foxies’ struggles as they gave up 37 points off unforced errors.
Trisha Tubu also stepped up for Farm Fresh by pouring all her 10 points on attacks, while Ces Molina and Alohi Robins-Hardy chipped in nine and six points, respectively.
Robins-Hardy was equally responsible for the Foxies’ offensive assault with 27 excellent sets.
Farm Fresh overcame a slow start, found its rhythm in a tightly contested second set and carried the momentum through the remaining frames with Rousseaux leading the charge.
