Aside from financial assistance, Pasig City had earlier sent 500 modular tents to serve as temporary shelters for families affected by the earthquake.
Meanwhile, 25 deployed personnel from the city government continued to assist, focusing on psychosocial first aid (PFA) and medical assessments in Sitio Kalubian, Barangay Libertad. Around 420 individuals have already received PFA.
The team also conducted a joint rapid assessment of public structures, inspecting barangay halls, health centers, daycare centers, and multipurpose buildings across the barangays of Taytayan, Sto. Niño, Sudlonon, Lourdes, Gairan, and Carbon to ensure the safety and stability of around 98 structures.
Emergency Go Bags and Meals Ready to Eat (MREs) were also distributed to affected residents in Sogod and Catmon, Cebu.
“Ang mga interbensyon ng Lungsod ng Pasig ay isinagawa sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa Incident Management Team ng Region VII para masiguro na magiging episyente ang deployment (All these interventions were carried out in coordination with the Region VII Incident Management Team to ensure an efficient and well-organized deployment),” the local government said.
It also expressed its gratitude to SMB Tourist Transport for lending the bus used by city personnel during the deployment period from Oct. 2 to 9.
