Changan launches Nevo A05 PHEV

Class-leading electric range for sedans

The PHEV sedan segment is about to get interesting as Changan, distributed by Inchcape Philippines, has officially welcomed the Nevo A05 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle into its lineup. Initially previewed during the Manila International Auto Show last April 2025, at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, the A05 is the brand’s latest plug-in hybrid electric vehicle sedan.
The Nevo A05 fortifies the diverse lineup that Changan offers in the Philippines. It is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle offering both long pure electric and combined driving ranges.
It carries Changan’s 101 logo, representing the brand’s mid-range electric vehicle line, serving as the mark for vehicles that are simple, user-friendly, intelligent, and futuristic.
ICE and electric in one
Powering the Changan Nevo A05 Plug-in Hybrid is a 1.5-liter BlueCore Gasoline Engine, mated to a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT), which produces 212-hp and 330-Nm of torque. The A05 comes with several EV powertrain modes such as BEV, PHEV, or REEV. On top of these, it also features multiple drive modes such as Eco, Normal, Sport, and Custom.
Its class-leading 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery grants it the highest-rated pure electric vehicle range in its class with its impressive 130-km range (under the New European Driving Cycle [NEDC]) in full EV mode, and a comprehensive range of 1,250-km.
Sharp styling
The A05 comes with features like automatic LED headlights that are adjustable and come with a Follow-Me-Home function. It has all LED taillights, daytime running lights, and even high-mounted third brake light. It rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, it offers a simple but sleek cabin made of premium and high-quality materials. It boasts of a 10-inch full-color Thin Film Transistor (TFT) LCD Display, air conditioning with PM 2.5 grade filter, USB ports, and 12V power socket.
For entertainment, there’s a 13.2-inch touchscreen display audio with wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and USB, mated to a six-speaker audio system. Above is a moonroof that lightens up the cabin.
Rear passengers get rear air vents. The rear seat also has a flat-fold feature to hold even more cargo.
Top notch safety
The A05 is equipped with both standard and advanced features like an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), Brake Assist (BA), Hill Hold Control (HHC), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) with Auto Hold (AH), Electronic Throttle, Rear Parking Sensors, Speed-Sensing Door Lock, Collision Auto Unlock, Driver & Passenger Airbags, Front Side Airbags, Front & Rear Integrated Safety Air Curtains, Child Lock, ISOFIX Child Seat Anchor, and Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM).
It also offers advanced driver-assist features such as 540° Virtual View Camera System w/ 360° Recording, Cruise, Integrated Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).
The A05 is available in the four classic colors: white, Cloud Mountain Green, Andes Gray, and Titanium Light Silver Gray. The Changan Nevo A05 Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle is now available with the Suggested Retail Price (SRP) of P1,195,000. Until the end of October 2025, customers may bring home their A05 with the special cash savings of P55,000.
