Governor Daniel R. Fernando hailed the launch of the MRI Section under the Department of Radiology as a major step toward his vision of providing affordable, safe, and high-quality healthcare for all Bulakenyos.
“Natupad na po ang pangarap natin (Our dream has finally come true),” Fernando said.
This has long been our aspiration—to have this kind of high-tech medical equipment at BMC. Now, Bulakenyos no longer need to spend much or travel far for an MRI scan. We have our own world-class unit capable of detailed and comprehensive diagnostics).”
Fernando also reminded healthcare workers to serve with compassion.
Dr. Alberto D. Gabriel, head of the Department of Radiology, said the MRI machine—used for brain, spine, knee, muscle, and abdominal scans—can accommodate eight to ten patients daily and will operate seven days a week.
“To my beloved Bulakenyos, our MRI is now available at BMC. Just come and we will serve you,” Gabriel said.
