110 families flee Zamboanga City flood

ZAMBOANGA CITY – One-hundred ten families fled their homes over the past two days due flood triggered by heavy rains from the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) said Barangays San Jose Gusu, Talisayan, Tugbungan, Mampang, and Pasonanca were affected.
Most of the evacuees were from Barangay San Jose Gusu where at least 100 families temporarily sought shelter at the elementary school.
Profiling of families is ongoing at designated evacuation centers.
The CSWD provided immediate assistance consisting of food and hygiene kits to affected families.
