RESIDENTS of Barangay 10-A and nearby communities receive free health care on Wednesday, Oct. 8, during a medical mission organized by acting Davao City Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte II and first district Rep. Paolo Duterte’s office.
DAVAO CITY – At least 200 residents in Barangay 10-A and nearby communities here received free health care on Wednesday, Oct. 8, during a medical mission organized by acting Davao City Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte II and first district Rep. Paolo Duterte’s office.
The outreach provided medical consultations, eye examinations, free medicines, and prescription eyeglasses.
Patients enjoyed free meals, Vice Mayor Duterte said, making the event a day of healthcare support and community engagement.
Vice Mayor Duterte personally visited and facilitated the event to check on patients and ensure their office delivered services efficiently. He said his office and Rep. Duterte’s are grateful for the chance to bring healthcare directly to the people of Davao.
“This initiative aims to make health services more accessible, especially for families who may not be able to afford regular check-ups or medicines,” Vice Mayor Duterte said, assuring that his office is open for those needing assistance.
Ramil Diosdado, 72, thanked the Dutertes for the medical mission that eased their healthcare expenses. “We thank Vice Mayor Rigo and Congressman Pulong for always looking out for us. This medical mission is a big help.”
Rep. Duterte said that the event reflects his ongoing commitment to bringing essential services closer to the people. He vowed to continue collaborating with local leaders to ensure government services reach the right communities.
The lawmaker said the medical mission is part of the First Congressional District Office’s broader community assistance program that seeks to provide accessible health and social services to residents across Davao City.
