Warehouse helper nabbed for statutory rape, sexual assault in Taguig
Police arrested a 22-year-old warehouse helper who is facing cases for statutory rape and statutory sexual assault in Taguig.
The suspect, identified as alias Calix, was arrested in Barangay Lower Bicutan by elements from the Southern Police District’s District Special Operations Unit supported by the District Intelligence Division, District Mobile Force Battalion and the Taguig police.
Calix was listed as No. 4 in the top 10 most wanted persons of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) for the fourth quarter of 2025.
The warrants of arrest against the suspect were issued by Presiding Judge Byron San Pedro of the Taguig Family Court Branch 15 last June 2.
In one warrant of arrest with no bail recommended, he is facing two counts of statutory rape. In another, with a recommended bail of P120,000, he is facing two counts of statutory sexual assault.
The charges accuse the suspect of violating Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code as amended by Republic Acts 8253 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997) and 11648 (An Act Promoting for Stronger Protection Against Rape and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, Increasing the Age for Determining the Commission of Statutory Rape).
The suspect is under the custody of the SPD.
