Valenzuela LGU sends P2.8-M assistance, response team to Cebu

The Valenzuela City government deployed a disaster response team and extended P2.8 million in financial assistance to northern Cebu to support communities affected by recent calamities.

According to the city's Public Information Office, the Valenzuela City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (VCDRRMO) was sent to Daanbantayan, Cebu, to conduct Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations and coordinate with local officials led by Mayor Gilbert Arrabis Jr.
It added that the team will remain in Cebu for seven days to assist affected families and strengthen ongoing relief efforts.
The local government also deployed two mobile shower and toilet units, two ambulances, a fire truck, a disaster response truck, and a special rescue vehicle.

The city also allotted a total of P2.8 million financial assistance for Bogo City, Medellin, San Remigio, Madridejos, and Daanbantayan to support the recovery operations.
