TACLOBAN CITY — A 45-year-old man who was supposed to undergo mandatory rehabilitation was caught in possession of two sachets of suspected shabu during a search before he was admitted to a facility Tuesday in Dulag, Leyte.
His wife said she sought a court order for her husband to undergo rehabilitation because of his alleged illegal activities that affected their livelihood.
The suspect, a dental technician and resident of this city, left to buy spaghetti before he was brought to the rehabilitation center when his family suspected he had the chance to buy the shabu.
The suspect denied owning the contraband.
He will be charged with illegal possession of illegal drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
