The enforcement began on Tuesday morning along the sidewalks near a hospital on Rizal Avenue in Sta. Cruz, Manila.
The Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) said motorcycles found illegally parked in tow-away zones and other restricted areas across the city will be clamped and fined P900.
This enforcement follows the recent approval of amendments to City Ordinance No. 8998, which revised Sections 2 and 4 of Ordinance No. 8109.
The amendments were passed by the Manila City Council on Nov. 21, 2023.
Traffic authorities reminded all motorcycle owners to park only in designated areas to avoid penalties.
