President Marcos shared a glimpse into his life as a father, talking about how he treats his three sons despite their different personalities.
In an interview on The Manila Bulletin's "The Sit Down," the President said he just deals with his sons —Sandro, Simon, and Vincent—as whole persons.
"I don't really have to think about it. Because I've always treated them as whole persons. I never sort of said, this is a child. For example, I never did baby talk. I thought it was the most silly thing to do," Marcos said.
His relationship with them naturally developed over the years, he shared.
"And I just dealt with them as people. And it's developed over the years," Marcos said.
Marcos, who loves to cook in his free time, with Ilocano dish "pinakbet" as his favorite, further shared that while his sons have very distinct personalities, they have already developed a way of relating over the years.
The President also said his sons all make him laugh a lot.
"They're very distinct in their personalities. But over the years, we've already developed a way of relating. And each one is very different. But they all crack me up. They all make me laugh a lot," he said.
When asked what advice he would give to any woman hoping to become his daughter-in-law, Marcos could not help but say "good luck," in jest.
"Well, I'm at the stage in my life where I would say, yes, please. But I would also add, good luck. Knowing my son, good luck with that," he quipped.
