Bacolod to donate P2 M to quake hit Bogo City

BACOLOD CITY – Mayor Greg Gasataya announced on Tuesday, Oct. 7, that this highly-urbanized city will donate P2 million to Bogo City, Cebu province severely impacted by the Sept. 30 earthquake.
Gasataya, in Tuesday’s media interview, said that he has discussed the donation with department heads and the city will prepare the necessary paperwork. “We will turn it over as soon as we finish finalizing the process,” he added.
Gasataya said funds will be sourced from this city’s donations.
The city government had earlier launched a donation drive for quake-hit communities in northern Cebu.
The Negros Occidental provincial government will also extend a P2-million aid to Bogo City.
