Hands On Manila's Servathon celebrates 24 years of bayanihan in action
The Hands On Manila Board of Directors with the main staff, guest speaker, and hosts
Volunteerism is alive and well whenever Hands On Manila mounts its annual Servathon. Held at Le Pavilion last Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, this year’s event saw the various companies that regularly participate in the Servathon make a special effort, as it marked the 24th edition of this outpouring of tangible CSR (corporate social responsibility).
This year’s focus was on nutrition, along with health and education—the three cornerstones to give our young population a fighting chance at substantive development. A guest speaker from the Department of Health delivered an engaging talk on the high cost of malnutrition in today’s world and its implications for our future.
As in previous editions, Issa Litton and Marc Nelson served as the main hosts, with Issa bringing several of her 1Lit hosts to help moderate and compère the proceedings. Gianna Montinola, president and co-founder of Hands On Manila, expressed her delight at this year’s output of goods to be distributed and remarked on how volunteerism continues to take root in our ‘bayanihan’ values.
