The city government of Pasay is offering a range of skills training programs to equip residents with practical knowledge that can help them secure employment or start their own businesses.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano invites interested residents to join the community-based training by visiting the Pasay Employment and Services Office (PESO) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and submitting the requirements.
Rubiano said the city government is offering a 10-day free training in event management, bread and pastry production, and barista skills, which will prepare participants for the National Certification (NC) assessment.
She said PESO also offers free 12-day training in automotive underchassis servicing, automotive electrical, four-wheel driving, air-conditioning servicing, and computer servicing.
Participants will receive a certificate of completion upon finishing the course.
The mayor emphasized that the free skills training program is part of her H.E.L.P. priority agenda: H- health care and housing, E- education, economic growth, environment, L-livelihood and lifestyle, P- peace and order, palengke (market), and pamilya (family).
Rubiano said that through the training program, her administration aims to empower residents with knowledge and skills needed to earn a living and support their families.
