Angel Aquino on liking girls: 'A lot of people are in denial'

Angel insisted it isn't something she meant to hide.

Actress Angel Aquino is not holding back when it comes to her truth.

During an interview with the news program "The Daily Dish," Angel admitted that she likes girls.

Angel insisted it isn't something that she meant to hide and that she has always been transparent — but she believes most people simply refuse to accept the truth.

"Oh, I don’t know, my life’s an open book. I like girls. There. Well, a lot of people are in denial–– sila talaga ‘yung in denial," she shared.

Angel was quick to clarify what she meant to prevent any misunderstanding or misrepresentation, especially on social media.

"Wait, can I just correct that because I said 'I like girls.' You know that might sound–– especially with social media–– it might sound weird. I’m saying I fall in love with girls and women. They might think it, you know, it can sound weird kasi if you just if you take it as is,” Angel explained.

Clips of her statement circulated on X (formerly Twitter), with some fans expressing wholehearted support for the actress.

Meanwhile, other users emphasized that she has nothing to fear, affirming that love is love.

“Finally she feels free to shout it to the world,” a fan shared.

“I’m just glad it's easier to talk about stuff like this now especially on television,” a fan expressed.
