P2.1-M shabu seized inside Antipolo jail

Multiple sachets and plastic packs of shabu worth P2,176,000 were recovered during an inspection inside the Antipolo City Jail Male Dormitory in Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, Rizal, on Saturday, Oct. 4.

According to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)-Antipolo, the shabu was recovered during their anti-drug operation, “Oplan Linis Piitan,” which began at 6 a.m. and covered all dormitories.
During the inspection, an officer found several sachets and plastic packs of shabu hidden in the air exhaust duct of Dorm 5, weighing about 320 grams.
Authorities said they are investigating the case and will release updates as the investigation progresses.
