P6.8-billion shabu recovered in Pangasinan.
LABRADOR, Pangasinan – Police are pressing charges against the owner of a warehouse here where suspected shabu valued at P6.8 billion was seized on Friday.
Also facing charges are two men who yielded suspected shabu worth P850 million in a buy-bust operation in Bugallon, Pangasinan on Thursday.
Acting Philippine National Police chief Police Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. commended the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and police for their achievement.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Isagani Nerez said they are identifying the personalities behind the illegal drugs trade in Pangasinan.
Nerez thanked the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office led by Police Col. Arbel Mercullo for supporting the PDEA in the operation.
Nerez emphasized that the operation was carried out with a strong commitment to human rights.
“Kung titignan n’yo ngayon, very high ang volume ng confiscated pero walang namamatay,” he said.
Nerez noted that the volume of drugs confiscated in these operations has already surpassed those recorded under the previous administration.
