P6.8-B shabu seized in Pangasinan

LABRADOR, Pangasinan -- Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Director General Undersecretary Isagani Nerez said that suspected shabu valued at P6.8 billion was seized in a private property in Barangay Laois here on Friday evening, Oct. 3, a day after two men were arrested and shabu worth P850 million were recovered in a buy-bust operation in Bugallon, this province.
Nerez said 950 packs of shabu weighing almost a ton were discovered.
The raid was conducted on a search warrant implemented by the PDEA and Philippine National Police.
He said they conducted a two-month surveillance before the operation.
Nerez said they have yet to determine there is a drug laboratory nearby.
All items were properly inventoried, documented, and marked on-site in the presence of mandatory witnesses in strict compliance with legal protocols, police said.
