LTO extends validity of accreditation of driving schools, medical clinics
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has extended the validity of the accreditation of driving schools and medical clinics as part of the measure to institutionalize the agency’s accreditation system.
LTO chief Assistant Secretary Vigor D. Mendoza II said the extension covers accreditations that are set to expire between July 2 until October 15 this year also includes license of driving school instructors and accreditation of physicians of medical clinics.
The validity extension, based on the memorandum issued by Mendoza to LTO regional directors, is up to Oct. 31.
“The extension is implemented to ensure the continuous and unimpeded delivery of public services while supporting a seamless and efficient transition to the centralized accreditation system,” said Mendoza
“This measure aligns with the ongoing implementation of the centralized accreditation system,” he added.
During the extension period, he said all relevant accreditations shall remain valid and active within the Land Transportation Management System (LTMS).
Mendoza stressed that the accreditation will not be subjected to automatic deactivation, “provided that a complete, compliant, and timely renewal application has been duly submitted to the Central Accreditation Committee on Driving Schools and Medical Clinics (CAC-DSMC) in accordance with applicable rules and procedures.”
