The next generation of the Vios is about to arrive. To drum up excitement and whet appetites of potential buyers, Toyota has released the prices and variants of its successor, the Vios Ativ.
For now, it appears Toyota will refer to this new model as the ‘Vios Ativ,’ but it may become simply ‘Ativ’ by the time the next generation rolls around, similar to how the Corolla transitioned from Corolla Altis to just Altis. This naming scheme is also to help distinguish it from the other Vios model. The current Vios will still be sold alongside the new model for a limited time, however, it will no longer have 1.5-liter variants.
Currently, Toyota has only released the prices, variants, engine size, and paired transmissions of the variants. Complete specs will be released at a later date.
The Vios Ativ will be offered in internal combustion engine (ICE) and hybrid variants, with engines ranging from 1.3-liters to 1.5-liter and 1.5-liter with a hybrid system. Only the base model will be fitted with a five-speed manual while all others will receive a CVT automatic.
