Eldrew Yulo leads youth champions at 5th NAC Siklab Youth Sports Awards

Gymnastics prodigy Karl Eldrew Yulo returns to the spotlight as the best junior athlete in gymnastics at the 5th Nickel Asia Corporation (NAC) Siklab Youth Sports Awards on Oct. 11 at the Grand Ballroom of the Diamond Hotel Manila.
“This is my fifth time as a Siklab awardee. Thank you for recognizing my efforts, this recognition will certainly ignite my future triumphs,” said the 17-year-old Yulo, who captured a silver medal in the men’s junior vault at the 2025 Asian Junior Gymnastics Championships in Jecheon, South Korea.
The younger brother of double Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, Eldrew has built an impressive resume of his own. He clinched silver at the 2023 Asian Junior Championships in Singapore and followed it up with a gold medal in the same event last year in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Guided by his kuya’s mentorship, Eldrew will represent the Philippines in the upcoming 3rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics Junior World Championships that the country is hosting from Nov. 20 to 24 at the Marriott Hotel Manila in Parañaque City.
Presented by the Philippine Sports Commission, the Siklab Youth Sports Awards honors the country’s most outstanding junior and youth athletes across various disciplines.
Christabel Fuentespina of badminton, FIBA U16 Asia Cup SEABA Qualifiers Most Valuable Player Gab Delos Reyes of basketball, rising billiards star Rhaki Roj Constantino, bowling’s Royce Wayne Padua and boxer Leo Mhar Lobribo are just some of the Youth Heroes Awardees who made the nation proud.
The Siklab Youth Sports Awards is supported by the Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee, CEL Logistics, MVPSF, Smart/PLDT, and Go For Gold.
Also recognized for their excellence are Gian Karlo Arca (chess), Praj dela Cruz (climbing), Thirdy Mana-ay (cycling), Khian Felipe (fencing), Rianne Malixi (golf), Mikayla Dominique Aguirre (ice hockey), and jiujitsu standouts Bailey Heinsohn and Amaris Villanueva.
The event will also spotlight judokas Jhenica Raijah Serrano and Kyra Abella, rower Evan Jugadora, modern pentathlete Frazier Ygot, karatekas Wilfredo Apellido III and Ysabella Arwen Varias, obstacle course racer Gianna Quintela, and surfer Mara Lopez.
Named as Super Kids Awardees are wakeboarder Kherlie Santiago, squash players Lyra Kate Trasmil and Aerra JC Mae Relano, gymnast Elizabeth Antone, fencer Sophia Shekainah Catantan, and boxers Ermalie Caballero, Xian Baguhin, and Clark Vicera.
A total of 75 awardees will be honored by the PSC-PPC-POC Media Group. Special distinctions will be conferred to Carlos Yulo as Sports Idol of the Year, Cynthia Carrion with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Christian Gonzalez as Godfather of the Year.
