The Valenzuela City government inaugurated two “Sentro Health Hubs” on Thursday, Oct. 2, in Barangays Canumay West and Karuhatan.
Mayor Wes Gatchalian led the inauguration as part of the LGU’s effort to expand primary health services across the city.
The facilities are restructured health centers offering more services compared to regular barangay health stations.
Unlike most health centers, the Sentro Health Hubs is open daily—including weekends and holidays—from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Services available include outpatient consultations, emergency and first aid, maternal and child care, dental care, laboratory and diagnostic services, a pharmacy corner, and even minor surgical procedures.
The city is planning to build a total of five hubs. Aside from the two newly opened centers, three more are set to rise in Barangays Mabolo, Mapulang Lupa, and Lawang Bato.
