Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the City Tourism and Cultural Development Office and Public Employment Service Office (PESO) conducted a job fair last Sept. 30 at the Musical Hall at SM Mall of Asia.
Rubiano said 20 local employers offered employment. Out of the 300 job seekers, 44 were hired on the spot.
She said seven national agencies also participated in the event to give job seekers assistance in processing documents they need to apply for jobs.
The mayor said that in celebration of the “Rule of Law Month,” 40 lawyers from the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)-PLM Chapter joined the activity and gave free legal consultations.
Rubiano said 30 documents, like petitions, affidavits, and demand letters, were prepared, including notarization.
