Construction worker shot dead in Rizal

A 36-year-old construction worker was found dead inside his residence with multiple bullet wounds in Barangay Pinugay, Baras, on Thursday night, Oct. 2.
Personnel of the Baras Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Antipolo City Component Police Station (CCPS) immediately responded to the scene after receiving information about the incident from the Sitio Paenaan chief.
Upon arrival, authorities found the lifeless body of the victim, identified as “Benjie,” inside his residence with multiple gunshot wounds.
According to the victim’s daughter, she heard three consecutive gunshots outside while her father was allegedly fetching water.
Authorities are now conducting an investigation to determine the motive behind the crime and identify the suspect, who was reportedly wearing a black t-shirt and denim pants.
