Carnapping leads to shooting in Antipolo, Rizal; 1 critical

A 23-year-old man was shot by three men who stole his motorcycle in Antipolo City, Rizal, on Thursday, Oct. 2, the Antipolo City Police reported.

According to the police investigation, the victim, identified as Eurell Magiba, a resident of Barangay San Isidro, was cruising along Sitio Sampaga on his Honda Click motorcycle that night when three men riding another motorcycle overtook him and tried to steal it.

As Magiba resisted, one of the suspects pulled out a .9mm pistol and shot him in the head. 

The suspects took the victim's motorcycle and quickly fled the scene.

Concerned citizens immediately reported the incident to the police and brought Magiba to the hospital for medical treatment. The authorities said he was in critical condition.

The Antipolo City Police said a manhunt operation has been launched against the three suspects.
