Calumpit Mayor Faustino leads National Elderly Week with renewed pledge to seniors
The local government of Calumpit, through its Municipal Office of Senior Citizens (OSCA), reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining programs that uphold the welfare and enhance the comfort of all elderly Calumpiteños.
She reminded all senior citizens to proceed to their respective barangay halls for re-registration and updating of records, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that no one is left behind in the programs offered by the local government.
Seniors were also advised to bring both the original and photocopy of their valid IDs.
For other inquiries or further information, seniors may contact their barangay officials or the president of the Senior Citizens Association in their area.
“Sa inyong sakripisyo, pagmamahal, at walang sawang ambag sa kaunlaran ng ating dakilang bayan, kayo po ang tunay na yaman ng bayan ng Calumpit (Through your sacrifices, love, and tireless contributions to the progress of our great nation, you are the true treasure of the town of Calumpit)," she said.
Meanwhile, through Mayor Faustino’s initiative, assistance was extended to senior citizens who were unable to go to their barangay halls due to illness.
The distribution of relief goods was facilitated by Cherrie Loise and Charlene Singkac Feliciano, together with Barangay Calumpang Captain Jose Arnel B. Faustino, Councilor Mac Sorio, and barangay volunteers.
