Authorities from the Las Piñas City Police Warrant and Subpoena Section arrested two most wanted persons, including a senior citizen, on Thursday, Oct. 2.
Las Piñas Police Chief Col. Sandro Tafalla identified the suspects as "Wilfredo," 44, and "Maximiano," 70.
Wilfredo, listed as the No. 8 most wanted at the station level for theft, was arrested around 1:50 p.m. at his residence in Barangay Elias Aldana under a warrant issued by Judge Joseph Kahlil P. Crespo of Las Piñas City Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 79.
Meanwhile, Maximiano, tagged as the No. 5 most wanted for violation of Batas Pambansa Blg. 22 (Anti-Bouncing Check Law), was arrested around 4 p.m. at his home in Perpetual Village, Barangay Pulanglupa Uno, Taguig.
His arrest was under a warrant issued by Judge Karen Christine Santos Red-Lock of Taguig City Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 117, with a recommended bail of P120,000.
Both suspects are now detained at the Las Piñas City Custodial Facility pending the issuance of commitment orders by their respective courts.
