A total of 1,314 families or 4,187 individuals have evacuated in Isabela province due to typhoon ‘’Paolo.’’
The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office on Friday said they are affected by the threat of a storm surge and living in houses made of light materials and low-lying and flood-prone areas.
The coastal town of Maconacon has 354 families and 1,008 individuals affected.
The Department of Public Works and Highways-Nueva Vizcaya 1st District Engineering Office said the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Namamparan, Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya is one-lane passable due to fallen trees.
Clearing operations are ongoing.
Police are assisting in managing traffic and motorists were advised to take caution when passing the affected road section.
