NCRPO: Metro Manila's three most wanted fugitives arrested in one day
Operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) arrested three of the 10 most wanted persons in Metro Manila in three separate operations in Bulacan, Albay and Malabon.
NCRPO director Maj. Gen. Anthony A. Aberin said it was the 5th most wanted person who was first arrested during the operation of operatives of the Eastern Police District (EPD) in Bocaue, Bulacan on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
The 46-year old suspect, who faces charges of rape with no bail recommended, was collared at around 2:45 p.m.
At around 3 p.m. on the same day, the third most wanted in Metro Manila, a 44-year old man who is also facing four counts of rape cases, was collared in Barangay Tagas, Daraga, Albay.
At around 10 p.m. of the same day, a 42-year old man who is tagged as the most wanted in Metro Manila was arrested in Barangay Catmon, Malabon. He is facing a case of murder.
“These successful operations against regional level most wanted persons in a single day demonstrate NCRPO’s relentless pursuit of fugitives and its consistent application of the EMPO framework—turning intelligence into action, ensuring that lawbreakers are held accountable, and fortifying public safety across Metro Manila and its surrounding areas,” said Aberin.
Aberin then lauded his men for complying with his order to immediately arrest those in the wanted list and intensify the campaign against fugitives.
Since assuming the top NCRPO post, Aberin emphasized the need to focus on accounting most wanted persons and fugitives, saying most of them are repeat offenders.
In February this year, the NCRPO arrested all the 10 most wanted men in Metro Manila in just a span of one week.
